Cozy Cottage

Spacious Barn

Activities: Most families enjoy assisting with feeding all the animals in the morning, then getting to know their adopted horse, brushing and leading it around. Older children may also learn to long-rein their horse. A miniature horse carriage is available for any 'human' horses to give each other rides. (Insurance to allow a horse to do that is unfortunately prohibitive.)
There are many other animals to enjoy, Miss Piggaty who sits for her dinner, Cosi the goat, the friendly bantam roosters who love being carried around, cows and calves, sheep and chickens, and the two dogs, Buffy and Debut.
For the nature lovers, a quiet wander around the farm is safe, as is the section of the Heysen Trail across the road - round trip about an hour.
For tipplers, the wineries of the McLaren Vale and surrounds are less than 15 minutes away. McLaren Vale has a number of excellent restaurants, and there is a quality pub in Meadows as well as a Pizza Takeaway.
Strathalbyn is 20 minutes to the east, the beach the same distance to the west, and Victor Harbor is a half hour drive south. BUT no need to leave the property, there is always something new and interesting to do.
