Dexter Cattle
Chamel Fields has been breeding Dexters since 1996, and although only a small herd, it has included several Angus crosses in order to incorporate the polling gene. And at last, we are succeeding. All bulls for sale are polled.
There are cattle for sale this season- steers, bulls and cows, and many of them are polled!
Whilst the cows aren't as friendly or well handled as the horses, it is still possible to have fun with them.
The stud did well at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2014, with Chamel Fields Halcyon winning Champion Cow, and bull Chamel Fields Valentino winning Champion Bull.

However, it is hard to take a good photo of the friendly ones, 'cause often, all you get is a wet nose!

Some cows now running with the bull will be for sale once calves are weaned if calves not wanted.
Heifers also running with bull - some will be for sale.
